The Iona Gallery consists of the Main Gallery and the Small Gallery. The rooms are adjacent to one another and may be hired individually or together. Preference will be given to those wishing to put on an art or craft exhibition, or hold an art or craft workshop, but other bookings will also be considered. Clients wishing to hold exhibitions of Art and/or Craftwork should provide the committee with examples of work in the form of slides, photographs or original pieces. The committee reserves the right to refuse any work. All hire prices are based on the client supervising their own exhibition.

The Main Gallery is carpeted and has a hanging system installed and a gantry with spotlights. There is an onsite projector and screen which are also available for use at an additional fee. 

The Small Gallery is available for hire as a workshop space or gallery area.

The gallery possesses 8 folding tables, 20 folding chairs, 4 glass display cabinets and several plinths. Easels, freestanding display boards with hanging system, are also available for hire. Please contact us for further details.

There is disabled access to the side and rear of the building, and a disabled toilet near the main entrance.

Please note: The Gallery premises are unlicensed and unsuitable for the sale of food and drink in general. If clients wish to hold a private view or similar function all containers and food must be prepared off site, and not be for sale.

Insurance:

Public liability insurance for the building is provided by the SBSA, however the client is to provide their own insurance to cover loss or damage to their work as they see fit. The client is responsible for the production and distribution of posters and general publicity, all materials of which must be approved by the committee. Given adequate time, circulation may also be made through the SBSA newsletter to SBSA members and Friends.

Exhibitions may be displayed on the walls using the hanging system provided. If exhibitors wish to drill holes in the walls to hang work using mirror plates then they must make good the damage done at the end of the exhibition by filling, sanding and redecorating (materials are provided by the gallery). Failure to do so will result in the committee billing the client the full cost of repair.
