Homecoming Scotland 2014

17.5.14

We have just heard that Foundation Scotland have awarded us a grant for our Homecoming Scotland 2014 Textile Project. This means we can offer more workshops for young people and adults with learning needs; better and advertising and we can send our exhibits to Canada for exhibition. The theme of the workshop is “What home means to us here in Scotland”. We had our first textile workshop today with Morag Grey, during which the participants experimented with techniques for making collages of their memories that represent ‘home’. Jennifer Budd is en route to Scotland from Canada to driver her felt making workshop next weekend. All the pieces produced are to be displayed in late October in The Iona Gallery. They will be packed and shipped to Canada for exhibition in the Waterford Old Town Hall Gallery, Ontario throughout January 2015.
